Role:Linux & Database Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer Linux OS (any major distribution) RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE, Oracle Linux, etc.
- Manage and support one or more databases such as:
- Oracle
- MySQL / MariaDB
- SAP HANA
- MongoDB
- PostgreSQL
- Cassandra
- Perform database installation, configuration, backups, restores, patching, and performance tuning.
- Ensure high availability, replication, and security across Linux and DB environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot OS-level and DB-level issues.
- Implement automation using Shell scripting or Python.
- Collaborate with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams for environment changes and migrations.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Linux OS administration (any distribution).
- Practical experience in at least one database technology from Oracle/MySQL/SAP HANA/MongoDB/PostgreSQL/Cassandra.
- Knowledge of database backup tools, replication, and failover.
- Familiarity with system security, user management, and patching.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools (top, sar, iostat, vmstat, DB monitoring tools).
- Shell scripting (Bash) for automation tasks.
Good to Have
- Certifications: RHEL, Oracle DBA, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SAP HANA.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Git.
