Job Description

In line with our growth strategy, we are seeking a talented, driven, and committed Lawyer to join our Dispute Resolution Practice Group in the Kuala Lumpur office, with a primary focus on employment and industrial relations matters.

Litigation Secretary

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to lawyers, including compiling, formatting, preparing and managing legal documents as well as preparation of Record of Appeal.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the team through effective office administration.
  • Manage lawyers calendars, court dates, deadlines, meetings, appointments and travel arrangements with meticulous attention to timelines.
  • Raise bills promptly and follow up diligently with clients on outstanding payments in a professional manner.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintain an organised and efficient electronic and physical filing system for all documents.
  • Undertake ad-hoc administrative duties as required to support team objectives.
  • Uphold strict discretion and confidentiality in respect of all matters.

Key Requirements

  • Proficient in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational skills and a team player.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a legal practice environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Independent, resourceful, efficient and diligent with a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision whilst maintaining consistency in quality of work and turnaround time.
  • Prior experience in a legal firm or familiarity with court procedures will be an added advantage, but is not mandatory.

Position

Position and remuneration to commensurate with successful candidate's relevant experience, skills and performance.
