We are looking for a creative and data-savvy Content Director to lead our short-form video strategy in Malaysia. You will be responsible for planning, scripting, and directing video content that drives consistent traffic to our live streams, ultimately boosting exposure, viewer entry rates, and conversions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy & Planning: Lead the ideation, scripting, storyboarding, and shooting plans for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels.
- Live Stream Integration: Develop content strategies aligned with live stream promotions, featured products, and host talking points to effectively guide users into the live room.
- Market Research: Analyze audience preferences, trending topics, competitor strategies, and viral video structures to inform content creation.
- On-set Direction: Oversee the filming process, managing set design, props, product demonstration, talent/host coordination, and camera movement/pacing.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Editors, Live Ops, and Talent BD teams to ensure accurate messaging, clear pacing, and brand consistency.
- Performance Optimization: Track key metrics (views, completion rate, engagement, clicks, live room entry rate) and conduct continuous reviews to optimize ROI.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in video direction, content planning, social media, or live commerce.
- Deep understanding of TikTok logic, including the First 3 Seconds hook, contextualized selling points, and conversion-driven storytelling.
- Strong copywriting and scripting skills, capable of translating product features into engaging content for local audiences.
- Prior experience in Beauty, Skincare, Personal Care, Ladies Products, or Maternal & Infant categories is a plus.
- Direct experience in Live Commerce, TikTok Shop, or Local Beauty Brands.
