Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Livestream Operator role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with some flexibility for working from home. The Livestream Operator will manage end-to-end livestream sessions, including pre-event setup, technical checks, and coordination with hosts, guests, and production teams. Responsibilities include operating cameras and switching systems, managing audio and lighting during live broadcasts, and ensuring smooth streaming across various social media platforms. The role involves monitoring stream performance, troubleshooting technical issues in real time, and implementing best practices to optimize viewer experience. The Livestream Operator will also assist in post-event tasks such as clipping highlights, organizing media assets, and providing feedback to improve future livestreams.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in livestream production, including camera operation, basic lighting and audio setup, and familiarity with streaming software or platforms (e.g., OBS, Streamlabs, vMix, or similar).
  • Experience with social media and digital content environments, including understanding platform requirements, viewer engagement practices, and trends in vertical video and livestream formats.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, follow production schedules, and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
  • Clear communication and collaboration abilities, comfortable working with on-air talent, clients, and internal production teams, and able to remain calm and solution-focused during live events.
  • Basic video editing skills for trimming livestream highlights, adding simple graphics, and preparing content for post-publication on social channels.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, including willingness to learn new tools, adapt to evolving workflows, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Previous experience in livestreaming, broadcast, or video production is preferred; a diploma or degree in media, communications, film, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
