The Role

We are looking for a highly strategic and execution-driven Production Team Lead to oversee our livestream operations across multiple brands and marketplaces in SEA.

This role is the single point of accountability for:

  • Production excellence
  • Team performance (Producers & Senior Producers)
  • Client expectation management
  • You are not just running shows, you are running the system behind the shows.
  • You will ensure every production is commercially aligned, operationally tight and client-ready at all times.

Core Responsibilities

Production Ownership & Standards

  • Set and enforce production standards across all livestream and content projects.
  • Oversee pre-production, live execution and post-production workflows to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Develop SOPs, production playbooks and quality benchmarks.
  • Review and approve show formats, run-of-show, technical setups and content flow before client presentation.
  • Ensure all broadcasts meet platform and brand compliance requirements.
  • You are accountable for output quality, not the producers.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, coach and develop your team.
  • Set KPIs for the production team aligned with commercial and performance goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide structured feedback.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement training plans.
  • Own resource planning, scheduling and workload balancing across projects.
  • Escalate or resolve team conflicts before they affect delivery.
  • You are the performance multiplier of the production department.

Client Expectation & Relationship Management

  • Act as the senior production representative in client meetings.
  • Translate commercial goals into production strategy.
  • Manage client expectations on deliverables, timelines, technical limitations and performance outcomes.
  • Push back strategically when necessary, with data and solutions.
  • Ensure clear documentation of scope, revisions and approvals.
  • Proactively communicate risks before they become problems.
  • This role is not reactive. It anticipates and manages perception.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Work closely with:

  • Commercial team (campaign goals & revenue targets)
  • Creative team (format & storytelling)
  • Marketing team (promotion strategy)
  • Technical team (stream stability & innovation)

Ensure clarity across departments so production is never the bottleneck.

You are the bridge between strategy and execution.

Performance & Commercial Alignment

  • Monitor livestream KPIs (GMV, AOV, CTR, retention rate, peak viewership, engagement).
  • Conduct post-mortems after key campaigns.
  • Identify patterns and improvement levers.
  • Align show formats with sales strategy, not vanity metrics.
  • Continuously optimize production formats for conversion.
  • This role thinks commercially, not artistically.

Innovation & Industry Leadership

  • Stay ahead of livestream trends across SEA marketplaces.
  • Identify new formats, tools and monetization mechanics.
  • Pilot test new ideas before competitors.
  • Share strategic insights with leadership.
  • You elevate the company's production maturity.

Who We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in livestream, broadcast or digital production.
  • Experience leading a team (not just managing projects).
  • Strong client-facing experience with proven ability to manage expectations.
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce livestream performance metrics.
  • Strong operational mindset, structured, organized and decisive.
  • Comfortable handling pressure and resolving live-event crises calmly.
  • Able to balance creative ambition with commercial reality.

  • Producers operate independently but aligned.
  • Clients trust production strategy and rarely escalate issues.
  • Livestream quality is consistent across brands.
  • Fewer last-minute chaos situations.
  • Production becomes scalable, not personality-dependent.
