Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistic Executive primary function is to manage, coordinate and monitor the outbound shipment by freight forwarders and courier to meet agreed delivery term while conforming to local and international trade regulation.
Job Description:
- To mainly handle shipping activities for export (sea & air) and coordinate seamlessly with shipping agents and freight forwarders.
- To plan, establish work schedules, assignments, and logistics sequences to ensure transportation and shipping of finished goods are performed in an accurate, timely and cost-effective manner.
- To arrange, prepare and compile shipping documentation required for overseas customers, which include bills of lading and the relevant export paperwork.
- To route outgoing shipments through freight forwarders and schedule transportation of shipments.
- To work closely with internal departments, such as Business Unit & Warehouse Departments as to ensure timely shipments with accordance to the mutually agreed schedules.
- To responsible for smooth and timely delivery of goods by meeting customer's expectations.
- To select freight agents / forwarders / transporters in order to ensure cost-effective operations at all times.
- To liaise with forwarding/customs agents on shipping matters by complying to the rules and regulations of the Customs Act
- Actively participate in issues pertaining to ad-hoc logistic issues and drive for solutions and improvement
- Undertake other role & responsibilities that are assigned by immediate superior from time to time until full closure.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualifications.
- A minimum of 3 years in a similar role, with a preference for experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Extensive knowledge of export, freight forwarding, trade compliance, customs compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Proficient in using relevant software and technology to support shipping and logistics operations.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast paced and changing environment.
- Goods communication skill in English.
