Job Description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Logistics Analyst for a greenfield setup, you will be responsible for supporting the Logistics Manager in establishing warehouse operations, customs and compliance processes, and supply chain management.

You Will Make an Impact By:

1. Warehouse & Inventory Control

  • Set up receiving process, coordinating on machines transfer and oversee warehouse operations including storage, order fulfilment, and inventory accuracy
  • Implement inventory management best practices to minimize shortages and overstock situations

2. Forwarder/Carrier Management:

  • Work closely with freight forwarders and carriers to resolve any logistics-related issues and ensure timely clearance and delivery

3. Customs & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Malaysian import/export regulations and customs procedures including handling necessary permit application at other OGA portal and submission of customs related documents for LMW license
  • Familiar with FTA between Malaysia and other countries

4. Supply Chain Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and distribution activities

5. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor logistics and custom clearance team, fostering a productive working environment
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide necessary training and development to the team
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless logistics operations and effective project execution related to warehouse setup and customs clearance
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with MKS Global Trade Compliance (GTC) policies

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field with minimum 5 years in experience in logistics/supply chain management environment
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Malaysian customs regulations and international trade practices
  • Familiar with Smart GPB and Dagangnet system for necessary customs related declaration
  • Deep understanding of local trade (import/export) taxes, duties, bilateral trade agreements and harmonized codes and rules around country of origin
  • Knowledge in rate card for transportation
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools for KPI tracking and dashboard creation
  • Effective leadership skill, high adaptability, and excellent communication
  • Preferably with ability to operate Material Handling Equipment
