  • Position Summary

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end sea and air freight operations (export and import), with primary focus on strengthening the company's sea freight capabilities.

This role will support multiple customers (shippers and consignees) and ensure efficient cargo movement, accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service. The position requires strong operational knowledge in sea freight, along with good communication and planning skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Sea Freight Operations (Primary Focus)
  • Handle full-cycle sea freight export and import shipments (FCL & LCL).
  • Arrange bookings with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and overseas agents.
  • Coordinate cargo stuffing, VGM submission, and container release.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, transshipment status, and arrival timelines.
  • Manage Bill of Lading issuance, amendments, and surrender processes.
  • Coordinate customs clearance and delivery arrangements.
  • Handle shipment delays, rollovers, and operational challenges proactively.
  • Air Freight Operations (Secondary Support)
  • Manage air export and import shipments including airline bookings.
  • Prepare and verify Air Waybills (AWB) and related documents.
  • Coordinate cargo acceptance, customs clearance, and delivery.
  • Provide shipment tracking and updates to customers.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation:
    • Bill of Lading (BL)
    • Air Waybill (AWB)
    • Commercial Invoice & Packing List
    • Certificate of Origin (COO)
    • Other regulatory documents
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, shipping line policies, and international trade requirements.
  • Work closely with customs brokers and port authorities.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as primary point of contact for customers (shippers and consignees).
  • Provide accurate and timely shipment updates.
  • Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, warehouses, and overseas agents.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with service providers.
  • Planning, Cost Control & Reporting
  • Plan shipment schedules to meet customer deadlines.
  • Prioritize workload and manage multiple shipments efficiently.
  • Monitor freight costs and verify supplier invoices.
  • Support billing, job closing, and internal reporting processes.
  • Maintain organized shipment records for audit and compliance purposes.

Job Requirements

  • Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
  • Strong hands-on experience in sea freight export and import (mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of air freight operations.
  • Familiar with FCL/LCL procedures, container handling, and vessel schedules.
  • Good understanding of customs processes and shipping documentation.
  • Key Competencies
  • Strong communication skills able to coordinate effectively with customers, shipping lines, agents, and internal teams.
  • Good planning and organizational skills capable of prioritizing shipments and managing deadlines efficiently.
  • High attention to detail in documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, especially in handling shipment delays or operational disruptions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple accounts.
  • Proficient in MS Office and freight management systems.
