About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Logistics Manager / Logistics Manager - International logistics SEA/ANZ. This role provides a great opportunity to learn about global supply chain operations and business. The position is located at our GBS+ office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is responsible for end-to-end import and export logistics management for the APAC region.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management - Lead and drive a team of 5-7 associates of logistics analysts
  • Hiring and developing talent
  • Building high performance, highly engaged, inclusive and diverse team
  • Drive Ecolab culture of customer first and talent forward
  • Performance management and development, goals setting
  • Develop and monitor KPI for the team
  • Collaboration with planning and warehousing team for effective management of Import and export shipment
  • Effective implementation of international logistics strategies in SEA/ANZ region
  • Collaborate with global and local procurement team for effective use of ocean freight budget
  • Collaborate with third party logistics service provider (Freight forwarder, carriers, custom broker) for all import and export shipment
  • Communicate effectively over calls and e-mail to provide information and resolve issues with internal and external customers
  • High Level of Urgency demonstrates urgency to resolve issues with internal and external customers
  • Escalates issues appropriately and promptly to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate any risk associated with logistics supplies and ability to do mitigation planning
  • Project Management / special assignments: Support special projects including process efficiency improvements, gross margin improvement, supplier optimization and network trade

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field of study

  • High level of organization, time management, attention to detail, follow up skills, ability to multi-task and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Display positive energy and exceptional work-ethics
  • Easily adaptable to changing business needs
  • Ability to handle escalated customer service situations
  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer experience
  • 6-10 years relevant experience, Preferred with experience in specialty chemical manufacturing industry and project management skill
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite, SAP/ERP systems, Transportation Management systems (TMS) is highly desirable
