Ansell is looking for a Specialist, Logistics (Freight Sourcing) to join our team in Cyberjaya, Malaysia!
In this position, you will play a vital role to manage all sourcing and purchasing activities for Logistic Category within the Ansell region to ensure cost-effective procurement, supplier performance, compliance with global standards, and alignment with business objectives. Standardizing end-to-end Source to Contract, ensure capacity procurement and management at Global level is aligned to Corporate Carrier Strategy .

What your role will be
- Develop RFIs, RFPs and RFQs for utilization in the process of achieving cost reductions and establish efficient process integration with other service providers to support this activity. To ensure capacity procurement and management at Global level is aligned to Corporate Carrier Strategy in terms of carrier choice and shifting
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and facilitate their implementation, including leading the negotiating efforts with suppliers, ultimately contributing to savings and synergy targets
- Negotiating freight rates and service level agreement with carrier when required Support. Execute Ansell Global Rate Request Desk and ensure full record keeping. As the Subject Matter Expert for Air/Ocean Freight, to provide market intelligent, insights and shipping trends.
- Stakeholder Engagement. Foster collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement by actively engaging with Stakeholder and identify the cost saving opportunities. To interface and work with Country / Regional / Local carrier contacts to resolve operational issues.
- Supplier Management. Foster collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement by actively engaging with suppliers. Monitoring supplier performance against established metrics, addressing any issues or concerns promptly, and driving supplier development initiatives are important tasks for maintaining productive and sustainable supplier relationships. Escalation to Carrier Principal office as and when necessary.
- Contract Management. Proper filling of the contract and ensure execute the contract smoothly. Managing contract dispute in timely manner to avoid any operational delay.
- Risk Management. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to supplier performance, market volatility, geopolitical factors, and other relevant factors to ensure a resilient and reliable supply chain.
- Compliance & Governance Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards and CSR requirement is crucial in sourcing and procurement activities. Maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness.
What will you bring to Ansell
- Experience in Strategic Sourcing/Procurement/Supply Chain/logistic
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Knowledge of local market and global sourcing practice
- Préférable able to speak and write in Mandarin
- knowledge of sourcing principles, methodologies, and best practices to develop business process.
- Experience and knowledge of the relevant business process and systems.
- Good insight into industry best practices applicable to relevant business process.
- Thorough with key controls in the relevant business processes and applicable regulatory and internal procedure requirements.
