Logistics Specialist

Key responsibilities :

Partner with 4PL (LLP) to oversee day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across all routes and modes.

Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound transportation activities to meet customer delivery requirements and department performance goals.

Manage carrier relationships and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).

Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize freight capacity, reduce transit times, and improve delivery performance.

Monitor transport performance metrics such as on-time delivery, cost, and quality, and prepare regular operational reports to share with key stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.

Collaborate with supply chain partners like commodity managers and purchasing teams to streamline logistics processes and resolve any operational challenges.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and support digital transformation initiatives in logistics operations.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field

Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, carrier management, and logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS, SAP systems).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with experience managing carriers and supplier relationships.

Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize logistics performance.

Strong leadership and innovative, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools (e.g.: PowerBI)

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to fast-changing operational environments.

At least 5 years of experience is required
