JOB DESCRIPTION
The Logistics Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and optimizing all of the company's logistics operations, ensuring the efficient, timely, and profitable flow of materials, products, and information from the supplier to the end customer, complying with applicable quality, cost, service, and regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and optimize ocean, air, and ground transportation to prevent supply chain disruptions.
- Negotiate space availability, rates, and service levels with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers.
- Monitor shipments through the TMS and promptly report critical deviations or risks.
- Coordinate arrival times, border crossings, deliveries, and plant appointments with the operations team.
- Manage logistical incidents (transit, customs, weather, delays) with a focus on immediate resolution.
- Implement international logistics best practices to reduce costs and lead time.
- Supply Chain Security Management (CTPAT) / Authorized Economic Operator (AEO).
- Oversee that logistics providers comply with AEO standards and transportation security.
- Maintain operations that guarantee the integrity of merchandise from origin to destination.
- Manage LMW compliance and licensing
- Analyze logistics and customs performance KPIs, proposing corrective actions and continuous improvements.
- Develop internal procedures to strengthen control and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and train the team (analyst and shipper) on logistics, TMS, and customs matters.
- Maintain operational and strategic relationships with logistics providers and related authorities.
- Prepare weekly financial reports detailing carrier activity in Malaysia.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 or more years of related experience as Leader on warehouse, distribution, fulfillment center, transportation logistics, or supply chain experience.

- Knowledge of legal and tax compliance related to logistics
- Demonstrate Advanced Excel (pivot tables, data analysis)
- LMW/AEO/CTPAT certification

Ability to communicate oral and written in English (Proficient).
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel may be necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
