Logistics Tender & Pricing Executive

Salary: RM4,500/month

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: Shah Alam (Bukit Jelutong Industrial Park)

Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing ocean freight tender submissions, validating pricing accuracy, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring all tender documentation is properly prepared and maintained. You will support both local and international tender processes while ensuring timely reporting and rate accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing Awarded Tenders

  • Review awarded tender files and verify that quoted rates match submitted rates before sharing with Operations.
  • Investigate rate discrepancies whenever required.
  • Provide Operations with the correct contact information.

2. Tender Reporting

  • Record all tenders received (Global, Country, Local) in the tender report.
  • Submit monthly tender reports to the PMO.
  • Ensure a minimum of 10 days preparation time before closing dates.
  • Maintain all tender submissions and communication in organized folders by account.

3. Preparing Local Tenders

Collect and verify required information:

  • Rates validity
  • Internal & external submission deadlines
  • Cargo description/commodity
  • Vertical market
  • Volume (TEUs for FCL, CBM for LCL)
  • Trucking ratio (LCL)
  • DR term, shipper/consignee address
  • Freight term / Incoterm
  • Port codes validation
  • Currency (USD, or EUR for EU lanes)
  • Cargo stackable/nonstackable
  • Container type (FCL, Dry, Reefer, DG)
  • DG cargo documentation (SDS/MSDS, DG class & UN number)

4. Local Tenders / Tenders from Key Account Manager

  • Follow similar procedures as tenders from Regional or Country offices.
  • Attend meetings or calls with KAM teams for clarification.
  • Prepare questions to ensure full understanding of customer requirements.
  • Update rates based on customer rate cards for local tenders.
  • Request origin, ocean freight, and destination charges using internal templates.

Requirements

  • 12 years experience in logistics, freight, supply chain, tender management, or pricing.
  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and documentation management.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
