M&E Drafter Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lead M&E Drafter to join our design team in Johor. You will be responsible for producing and coordinating high-quality technical drawings for Mechanical and Electrical systems, including HVAC, fire protection, sanitary & plumbing, and electrical layouts. This role is suitable for an experienced professional with strong technical drafting expertise and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
. Prepare and develop detailed 2D/3D M&E drawings (Single Line Diagrams, Fire Protection, Power & Lighting layouts, Piping & HVAC ducting) based on engineer sketches and specifications
. Review, amend, and update drawings according to site measurements and project requirements (As-Built Drawings)
. Coordinate with Project Engineers, Consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure M&E services are properly integrated and clash-free with structural and architectural elements
. Lead and guide junior drafters in drafting standards, drawing quality, and project timelines
. Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards
. Maintain an organized filing system for all project drawings, revisions, and documentation
. Participate in overseas site visits/training as required (transportation and accommodation allowances provided)

Requirements

Education:
. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related Technical Drafting certification

Experience:
. Minimum 4 years of experience in M&E drafting
. Experience leading or coordinating drafting teams/projects is an added advantage

Technical Skills:
. Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
. Experience with BIM/Revit is an added advantage
. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
. Good coordination and communication skills
