The M&E Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems within a facility to ensure uninterrupted, safe, and efficient building operations.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Systems
- Operate and maintain HVAC systems (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, MAH/RAH,GAH)
- Maintain pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and plumbing systems
- Perform preventive maintenance for mechanical system such as Chillers, cooling tower, AHUs, FCUs, Condensor water pumps, Chilled water pumps and PCW pumps.
- Attend mechanical breakdowns and restore systems quickly
Electrical Systems
- Maintain LT panels, MCC panels, UPS, and DG sets
- Monitor power distribution, lighting, and emergency power systems
- Carry out basic electrical troubleshooting and fault finding
General M&E Duties
- Conduct routine Rounds & Readings (R&R) inspections and record parameters
- Ensure fire & life safety systems are functional
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of M&E building services
- Troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills
- Basic knowledge of Building Management System (BMS)
- Able to communicate fluently via walkie talkie to ROC team for equipment changeovers
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC
- 2–5 years of experience in M&E or Facilities Management
- Relevant safety certifications preferred
