Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Microsoft 365 Consultant to design, implement, and optimize our cloud productivity ecosystem. In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor and technical expert, leveraging SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Azure, Power BI, and Advanced Excel to build modern digital workplaces.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and cloud technology—automating complex manual processes, building robust analytics dashboards, ensuring cloud security, and transforming how our teams collaborate.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaboration & Content Management (SharePoint & Teams)
- Architecture & Design: Design, build, and maintain modern SharePoint Online site collections, intranets, Hub sites, document libraries, and custom metadata structures.
- Teams Governance: Architect Microsoft Teams governance frameworks, including lifecycle management, conditional access, external guest access policies, and app integration.
- Workflow Automation: Build tailored business automation and approval processes using Power Automate integrated directly into SharePoint and Teams.
2. Cloud Infrastructure & Identity (Azure)
- Identity Management: Manage user lifecycle, group policies, and role-based access control (RBAC) via Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
- Security & Compliance: Configure and monitor security layers using Azure Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels).
- Integration: Support the integration of Azure enterprise applications, custom API registrations, and hybrid cloud identity syncing (Azure AD Connect).
3. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence (Power BI & Excel)
- Data Modeling: Connect Power BI to diverse data lakes, including SharePoint lists, Azure SQL databases, Excel spreadsheets, and external data streams.
- Dashboard Development: Build, publish, and maintain interactive, high-impact Power BI reports and dashboards for executive leadership.
- Advanced Data Processing: Act as the internal expert for complex data modeling in Excel, utilizing Power Query, Power Pivot, advanced formulas, and VBA/macros to prep data for M365 systems.
4. Consulting & User Adoption
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct workshops with non-technical stakeholders to capture business problems and map them into technical M365 solutions.
- Change Management: Drive user adoption by creating technical documentation, training materials, and leading user training sessions.
Role Requirements & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Experience: 3 to 6+ years of hands-on experience in M365 consulting, administration, or solution development.
- SharePoint/Teams: Deep expertise in modern SharePoint Online architecture, governance, permissions, and native web-parts.
- Azure: Strong foundation in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), tenant administration, security frameworks, and app registrations.
- Power BI: Proven track record of developing complex DAX formulas, data transformations via Power Query, and embedding reports into SharePoint/Teams.
- Advanced Excel: Complete mastery of Excel data modeling capabilities (Power Query, Pivot Tables, logical formatting, data cleaning).
