Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Developer (L2, 3-5 years) with expertise in Mainframe Cobol, CICS, and JCL to support Cards API & Digital Interfaces. The role involves developing and maintaining Mainframe-based API integrations for CardLink / Vision Plus, working with VSAM datasets, and handling CICS transactions, IBM MQ, and Control-M scheduling tools. The ideal candidate should have experience integrating JSON, HTML, and API-based interactions for seamless digital banking and payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Mainframe-based APIs for CardLink / Vision Plus using Cobol, CICS, and JCL.
Manage VSAM datasets for card transaction processing.
Ensure seamless integration with APIs, utilizing IBM MQ for messaging and communication.
Handle job scheduling and automation using Control-M.
Work closely with digital banking teams to enhance API-driven card transaction processing.
Troubleshoot and optimize CICS transactions and API calls.
Must-Have Skills:
Advanced CICS expertise, including transaction processing and debugging.
Strong proficiency in Cobol, JCL, and VSAM on Mainframe ZOS.
Experience in API integrations and IBM MQ for message handling.
Familiarity with JSON, HTML, and modern digital banking interfaces.
Knowledge of Control-M for job scheduling and automation.
Strong problem-solving skills with high integrity in work.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Vision Plus / CardLink card processing systems.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and digital payment architectures.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in Mainframe development within the Cards domain.
