Senior Mainframe Developer

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and support mainframe applications using COBOL and JCL.
• Support and enhance banking systems related to Cardlink and Consumer Banking applications.
• Involve with system development, testing and implementation following the SDLC.
• Monitor and support mainframe batch processing and ensure system stability.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, system issues and application defects.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
• Support incident, problem and change management process.
• Cross-collaboration with other teams to deliver system enhancement and improvements.
• Ensure applications comply with banking policies, regulatory requirements and technology risk guidelines.
• Maintain proper technical documentation for applications and processes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in application development within banking or a financial related organisation.
• Hands-on experience with Mainframe technologies, COBOL, and JCL.
• Experience supporting Cardlink or Consumer Banking applications is an advantage.
• Hands-on with incident, problem and change management practices.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices, SDLC processes, IT monitoring tools and Automation Processes.
• Familiarity with banking operations, regulatory requirements, and technology risk management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and task-driven environment.
