Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in Cardlink development and delivery within the banking sector. This role focuses on developing, testing, and supporting card applications on Mainframe z/OS, while ensuring high-quality delivery through Service Delivery QA processes and strict adherence to SDLC and change management standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and compliant card services solutions in a fast-paced banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe-based card applications (Cardlink)
- Perform application development using COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, and JCL
- Work with VSAM and Sequential Datasets for application processing and testing
- Support Service Delivery QA activities to ensure quality and stability of deliverables
- Conduct analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and debugging for assigned tasks
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and stakeholders to meet functional requirements
- Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, change management procedures, and banking standards
- Provide technical support for defect resolution and issue fixes during QA and production phases
Requirements
- 35 years of relevant experience as a Mainframe Developer
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on development experience in COBOL/CICS
- Strong experience with VSAM, Sequential Datasets, and JCL
- Proficiency in Easytrieve programming
- Proven experience in Cardlink development and delivery within the banking sector
- Good understanding of SDLC processes and change management tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
- Good communication and collaboration skills
