JOB REQUIREMENT:
- DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
- MINIMUM 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN SAFETY VALVE (PSV/SRV) CALIBRATION & REPAIR
- VALID OGSP & MEDEX
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
- Receiving & Initial Inspection
- Receive the PSV from site or storage and record valve details (tag number, size, rating, set pressure, valve type).
- Dismantling
- Disassemble the PSV following procedures and the manufacturer's manual.
- Tag components to ensure correct reassembly later.
- Cleaning & Detailed Inspection
- Clean all components using appropriate methods (chemical cleaning / solvent / ultrasonic).
- Repair & Overhaul
- Replace worn or damaged parts such as springs, gaskets, O-rings, bolts & nuts according to specifications
- Reassembly
- Apply correct torque values as per manufacturer specifications.
- Calibration & Adjustment
- Perform set pressure testing using a PSV test bench (air/gas or hydraulic).
- Adjust set pressure, blowdown, and reseat pressure as required by the system.
- Certification & Documentation
- Prepare calibration and test reports for the PSV.
- Issue Calibration Certificates / Test Reports.
- Site Work (If Applicable)
- Conduct on-site installation and removal of the PSV at the plant.
- Safety & Standards Compliance
- Follow safety requirements, HSE, and safe working procedures.
