Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimise operation disruption.
Perform first level troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors/contractors to resolve the issues, if necessary.
Keep the Store Manager updated on contractor progress and ensure external works are completed promptly.
Develop, implement, and optimize comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities.
Perform routine Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) to ensure smooth operation and meet machine downtime targets.
Maintain and update maintenance logs, including checklists, service reports, and work orders.
Execute electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction tasks.
Remain on-call to respond to emergency maintenance needs and resolve urgent equipment failures.
Create, schedule, and delegate daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to the maintenance team.
Ensure maintenance team follows safe work practices.
Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, safety standards, environmental guidelines, and supermarket standards.
Assist management in upholding maximum safety, health, and environmental compliance (OHS) throughout the property.
Monitor and control inventory levels for spare parts, tools, and supplies.
Qualification:
Mandatory BO Certificate is required for this position.
At least 5 years of proven experience in a maintenance role, with a significant portion of that experience gained within the shopping centre/retail business.
Strong understanding of building systems, including electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and chiller.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions.
