Job Description

The Maintenance Planner is required to apply maintenance methodology, define operational steps, manpower, spares and other necessary tools to achieve efficient and safe maintenance in line with technical standards. The incumbent is also expected to lead, manage and improve the use of management tools, procedures and methodologies in maintenance.

Secondarily, the incumbent is expected to support specific activities related to Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) and the maintenance execution.

Job Descriptions

  1. To ensure that all safety measures are being adhered all the time including contractors in order to achieve zero LTI by following SOPs, Procedures, and Safety practices.
  2. To be transparent and show caring of safety of others by reporting Near Misses in the workplace.
  3. Define the detailed methodology for carrying out all the jobs according to priorities, and the required resources, skills coordination and supervision.
  4. Ensure that all the necessary materials are available for the planned operations and meet the required quantity and quality.
  5. Prepare time and cost estimates for work orders and job plans to help optimizing resources allocation.
  6. Formalize and update the detailed job-plans for important maintenance operations (technically and/or financially important), records and statistics, & technical documentation.
  7. Define specifications of sub-contracted jobs together with the Mechanical & Electrical Execution.
  8. Plan major equipment annual overhauls.
  9. Draw up the technical specifications for the purchase of the spare parts
  10. Manage general and specific technical documentation and equipment drawings.
  11. Prepare and proposed Major Opex in collaboration with the inspection team.
  12. Responsible for the maintenance & repairs yearly plan elaboration in cooperation with the Mechanical and Electrical section head and the Production Manager
  13. Responsible for the planning of the main revisions (SD) in cooperation with the Mechanical, Electrical section head and the Production Manager
  14. Coordinate and support for all activities made using the SAP-PM module by plant's staff
  15. Responsible for the analysis of daily SAP-PM Notifications (or Work Orders) and creating SAP work orders (daily scheduling) in cooperation with the Mechanical and Electrical Managers and the Production and continuously update.
  16. Support for identification of the bad actors using the SAP-PM software and sending the information to the Maintenance Engineers
  17. Support the predictive and preventive maintenance plan for all pieces of equipment in order to develop a Reliability Centered Maintenance
  18. Support for elaboration and improvement of the preventive maintenance plan for spare parts from the Warehouse

Job Requirements

  1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline in engineering
  2. Min 3 years working experience in the Maintenance function of an organization in the heavy industry.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment especially in heavy industries
  4. Technical knowledge of preventive, predictive and systematic maintenance (databases, CMMS)
  5. Computer literacy (MS Project, Documents)
  6. Knowledgeable in mechanical parts
  7. SAP knowledge will be an advantage
