AL Maritime is a business unit within GM&T (Global Markets & Technologies). The activity is articulated around four main businesses: Global Helium, Global Rare Gases, Offshore Energies and Maritime Cryogenic Supply. It is a very international environment, managing multiple locations worldwide.
As part of AL Maritime, Cryogenic Tank Services (CTS) is a Malaysian entity which was acquired in 2015. CTS specializes in cryogenic tank and equipment rental for the offshore and maritime industries as well as in cryogenic transport of molecules, and provides a full range of repair and testing services.
CTS is looking to accelerate its expansion through key development segments. The Maintenance Technician position is within CTS, based in Rawang, Selangor . The key mission of this position is toensure the safe and compliant execution of daily testing operations while actively promoting safety objectives as the top priority and maintain the fleet of offshore equipment and its application.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
- Execute all maintenance activities safely, adhering strictly to Air Liquide Group standards, rules, and local statutory and regulatory requirements.
Assist in enforcement of all HSE initiatives and compliance program
Initiate the STOP WORK AUTHORITY when necessary to halt unsafe actions or conditions, and provide support when others initiate it.
- Perform equipment and site maintenance
Coordinate with the operation team and superior to plan and schedule equipment maintenance, focusing on improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with airgas and cylinder handling equipment Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the workshop and daily work processes
Monitor equipment condition and promptly report any abnormalities to the superior
Maintain and accurately record the maintenance service report and actively participate in ISO audits
Lead 5S activities of assigned work area to ensure facility upkeep
- Perform pallet and manifold maintenance
Perform dismantle and assembly of cylinder pallets/quads, supports, and other maintenance related assignments.
Execute cylinder manifold repair job and high pressure testing of cylinders
Arrange and perform offshore frame and sling recertification arrangement
Are you a MATCH
At lea st 1-3 years of relevant experience in a workshop or manufacturing industry setting
Must possess a Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Able to work and communicate effectively in the local Malay language, have basic computer literacy and the ability to read, write and communicate in basic English.
Availability for a 5.5 -day per week work schedule
Having a valid license to operate Forklift and experience in working in offshore is an added advantage
