Manager - Actuarial (Financial Condition Management)

About the Job

You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of actuarial models, primarily within the Prophet environment, to support business needs and regulatory requirements. The role will also have a strong focus on SQL and Python automation to support actuarial data processes, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance model governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain actuarial models including updates for new products, changes in capital frameworks, accounting standards, and actuarial methodologies.
• Drive model enhancement initiatives by improving model architecture, output quality, efficiency, and maintainability in collaboration with other actuarial teams.
• Maintain and optimize data processes related to model input and model output. Collaborate with model users to streamline data extraction, transformation, and compilation.
• Ensure compliance with model governance policies, support audit processes, and resolve all audit findings promptly.
• Provide support for strategic and ad-hoc projects, such as process automation and pricing of new complex products.
• Take accountability in identifying business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulatory developments, emerging risks and new technologies to better safeguard the company.
• Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

We are looking for people who

• Degree holder in Actuarial Science or related discipline with good progress in actuarial exams
• At least 5 years actuarial experience with strong modelling exposure. Experience in Prophet is preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL and Python
• Familiarity with IFRS17, RBC, embedded value, or actuarial reporting process is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, spreadsheet, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
