Job Description

Job Purpose

The incumbent supports the Head, Business Excellence (GMD & CEO Office) in translating executive priorities into coordinated action across the Group. Working closely with the Group Managing Director and the GMD's Executive Assistants, the role drives governance, strategic initiatives, cross-functional coordination and executive follow-through to strengthen organisational alignment and execution.

Job Responsibilities

Executive Support & Decision Framing

Support Head, Business Excellence in preparing the Group Managing Director for key decisions by conducting research, analysing issues, preparing briefing materials and developing recommendations on strategic and operational matters.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on strategic and operational issues.
  • Prepare executive briefs, presentations and discussion materials.
  • Assess options, risks and implementation considerations to support decision-making.
  • Support special projects and enterprise initiatives as required.

Enterprise Execution, Prioritisation & Business Excellence

Support the execution of the Group Managing Director's priorities by coordinating strategic initiatives, monitoring progress, driving follow-through and improving organisational alignment across the Group.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate enterprise initiatives sponsored by the GMD Office.
  • Monitor progress, identify issues and follow up on agreed actions.
  • Support the prioritisation of key initiatives and executive focus areas.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to resolve issues and remove execution barriers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ways of working, governance and organisational effectiveness.

Cross-functional Integration & Stakeholder Management

Build strong working relationships across business units and corporate functions to improve collaboration, alignment and execution of enterprise priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and align stakeholders across functions and business units.
  • Support engagement with senior leaders, middle management and key internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a central coordination point for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Work closely with the GMD's Executive Assistants to ensure smooth coordination of executive priorities and activities.

Business Insights & Special Projects

Provide timely analysis and insights to support business performance reviews, strategic initiatives and special projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse business performance, trends and emerging issues.
  • Support evaluations of new business opportunities, investments and strategic projects.
  • Work with Corporate Planning, Finance and business leaders to develop recommendations and executive papers.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and Board discussions where required.

Cadence Management

Support the effective operation of the GMD Office by coordinating executive meetings, maintaining governance routines and ensuring timely follow-through on leadership decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate executive meetings and collaboration platforms.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting notes and action trackers.
  • Track key decisions and follow up on agreed actions.
  • Maintain visibility of enterprise priorities and key deliverables.

Education/ Professional Qualification

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Real Estate, Architecture, Built Environment or a related discipline.
  • A Master's degree (e.g. MBA) or relevant professional certification would be an advantage but is not essential.

Analytical & Problem Solving Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to understand complex business issues, identify key insights and develop practical recommendations.
  • Able to synthesise information from multiple sources into clear, concise materials for executive decision-making.
  • Comfortable working with data, business performance information and strategic initiatives to support planning, governance and enterprise execution.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear executive materials and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships across business units and corporate functions and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
  • Confident engaging with senior management while working effectively with middle management and project teams to drive alignment and follow-through.
