Purpose of Job
This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Business Processing unit, ensuring efficient and productive business support services. As the team lead, you will play a key role in managing account-related processes such as billings and client account data management. The position focuses on delivering operational excellence by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records, streamlining workflows, and supporting the broader operational functions of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Business Processing unit to ensure compliance with internal invoicing protocols.
- Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, from receiving invoice details from insurers to issuing invoices to clients.
- Review and enhance operational workflows to align with evolving invoicing procedures and business needs.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to increase overall operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Handle related invoicing issues, including policy cancellations due to delayed payments or invoicing discrepancies.
- Participate in internal and external credit control meetings to resolve payment-related concerns.
- Manage onboarding of new clients, ensuring all compliance, legal and contractual documentations are completed prior to initiating the invoicing process.
Experience
- Preferable with working experience in centralised billings and/or operational shared services or a similar field.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Company and/or Group policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately.
Representing the Company
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required or instructed by the Company.
Knowledge and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience within the insurance industry in relevant field.
- Proven experience in supervising or leading a team within an operational or billing function.
- Preferably with experience in insurance broking firm.
- Professional insurance qualification is preferred, along with relevant knowledge of insurance principles, and practices.
- Proficiency in computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and compliance-oriented mindset.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
