Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of cash reconciliations through governance standards, control frameworks, and review requirements.
- Oversee reconciliation methodologies, matching rules, tolerance thresholds, ageing analysis, and exception monitoring.
- Ensure timely and reliable visibility of cash positions across source systems, banks, and general ledger.
- Review, challenge, and provide independent cash position reports and insights to senior management and governance committees.
- Oversee investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution of reconciliation variances, including escalation of aged or material items.
- Support financial close by monitoring reconciliation readiness and identifying risks impacting financial reporting or regulatory submissions.
- Act as primary point of contact for internal audit, external audit, and regulators on cash reconciliation governance matters.
- Coordinate audit responses, remediation plans, and management action plans.
- Collaborate with business and finance teams to strengthen data governance, reconciliation discipline, and continuous improvement initiatives (standardisation, automation, control enhancements).
To be eligible for this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CFA) and MIA preferred.
- Proven experience (5-6 years) in cash control, reconciliation or treasury operations. 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong expertise in cash governance, settlement operations, reconciliation, and financial controls within fintech.
- Experience in fintech, digital payments, or regulated financial institutions highly advantageous.
