Role:
To drive sustainable sales growth in Malaysia through effective management of direct customers and channel partners. The role is accountable for achieving revenue targets by executing strategic sales initiatives, strengthening partner capabilities, and building long‑term customer relationships in line with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage direct customers and channel partners in Malaysia
- Develop, enable, and expand the channel partner network to strengthen market coverage and penetration
- Identify and onboard new channel partners to expand the distribution network in Malaysia
- Collaborate with channel partners to develop joint business plans, set sales targets, and execute marketing programs to drive revenue growth
- Provide ongoing sales support, training, and resources to enable channel partners to effectively promote and sell ASMPT products
- Conduct regular sales audits with channel partners
- Provide regular product updates to direct customers and channel partners
- Perform routine customer visits to maintain and strengthen customer relationships
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and promptly address issues or concerns
- Participate in the full sales cycle, including technical discussions, product studies, proposal preparation, negotiations, order processing, delivery coordination, and payment collection
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and potential challenges
- Conduct marketing activities, including remote Center of Competence (CoC) sessions, technical seminars, and related events
- Regularly update sales forecasts and business reports for management
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams across the organization
- Strengthen ASMPT's leading market position in Malaysia, with a focus on: Global Key Accounts, delivering expert knowledge (e.g. process consultation, production simulation, and process optimization), and improving and maximizing market coverage and transparency
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- Preferably 5 years of relevant sales experience in the SMT and/or semiconductor industry
- Proven experience managing end‑to‑end sales processes and executing sales strategies
- Demonstrated capability in managing and developing customer and channel partner relationships, including agent onboarding and enablement
- Strong negotiation skills with a resilient and results‑driven mindset
- Experience in sales forecasting, target setting, and performance tracking
- Strong planning, analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Willingness to travel within Malaysia and internationally as required
