In this role, you will be a key business partner for our Malaysia and APAC commercial teams, helping drive growth while ensuring cost discipline.
- Lead planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles for the country and assigned functions, ensuring timelines, data quality and alignment with regional and global requirements.
- Prepare and maintain RFC input templates, complete budgeting and forecast information in collaboration with stakeholders, and load data into corporate reporting systems.
- Generate, validate and distribute RFC and related reports, ensuring accuracy before final approvals.
- Coordinate and complete weekly sales forecast submissions, challenging assumptions where needed.
- Work closely with Accounting to secure accurate and timely management reporting for sales, margins, OPEX and profitability.
- Prepare standard reporting templates, slides and KPIs, and adapt them to new business or Corporate Controlling requirements.
- Perform variance analysis versus budget and forecast, highlighting key drivers and proposing concrete actions.
- Provide detailed cost and performance insights to functional and commercial leaders, including cost tracking and profitability views.
- Develop and enhance KPI reports and dashboards that support data‑driven decision making.
- Continuously improve planning, forecasting and reporting processes and systems to reduce manual work and increase accuracy.
- Support year‑end closing activities, including controlling‑related calculations and data preparation.
- Handle intercompany service‑related controlling processes and calculations as required.
- Contribute to Controlling team deliverables and deputise for team members during absence.
What sets you apart
- A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field.
- Several years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, Commercial Finance or Business Analysis, ideally in an international or regional environment.
- Strong planning, budgeting and forecasting skills, with hands‑on experience in management reporting and variance analysis.
- Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow dynamics, and how commercial decisions impact financial performance.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with corporate reporting/BI tools (e.g. SAP, BW, Power BI or similar); you are comfortable working with large data sets and manual data reconciliations where needed.
- High attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger picture and translate numbers into clear business insights.
- A collaborative business‑partner mindset: you build trust with stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively and communicate complex topics in a simple, actionable way.
- You listen to understand, proactively engage stakeholders and follow through on commitments – even when timelines are demanding and topics are complex.
- Very good command of English; additional Asian languages are an advantage.
