Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide range of corporate secretarial functions to Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and Maybank Investment Banking Group entities.
  • Lead credit committee meetings at both country and regional levels, ensuring proper scheduling, agenda setting, and governance compliance.
  • Prepare accurate and timely minutes of meetings that clearly capture discussions, decisions, and follow-up actions.
  • Advise on governance requirements for committee matters, including quorum, voting procedures, and approval workflows.
  • Support country company secretaries of MIBG, by providing guidance on secretarial duties, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
  • Promote consistency in governance by assisting with the standardization of processes, templates, and documentation across MIBG.
  • Assist the Company Secretary / Regional Head on special assignments, projects, and regional governance initiatives.
  • Draft and coordinate board and committee papers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with governance standards.
  • Maintain and update governance records and databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility of key information.
  • Cascade governance KPIs across business units, and track progress to support performance and compliance monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Secretary (ICSA) or Licensed Secretary (LS)
  • 5 to 10 years experience in handling corporate secretarial matters of Financial Institutions
  • 3 to 5 years of handling credit committee's meeting of Financial Institutions
  • Good knowledge of Companies Act (MY or other countries) and the relevant guidelines/ policies related to governance matters.
