As part of the next growth phase, we are seeking a Business Development Manager/Director to drive structured expansion, deepen strategic partnerships, and support long-term regional alignment.
The role
Reporting to the Country Director, this role will act as a key liaison between Malaysia operations and China headquarters to ensure development initiatives remain commercially sound and aligned with broader regional objectives. This role is focused on sustainable footprint growth, high-value partnerships, and disciplined execution.
Salary: RM 15,000 - RM 30,000 per month (depending on suitability)
Benefits: 16 days AL, medical & insurance coverage, bonus, work flexibility, EPF & SOCSO, etc.
Office location: Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur
The job
Drives expansion strategy in Malaysia - identifying new growth opportunities.
Develops and secures strategic partnerships with developers, landlords, franchisees, JV partners, and retail groups.
Aligns expansion initiatives with the company's long-term growth direction.
Leads commercial negotiations and structures scalable partnership agreements.
Provides market insights and performance reporting to support expansion decisions.
The requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in F&B or retail expansion, commercial development, or strategic partnerships in Malaysia.
Proven track record in multi-site expansion and high-value deal negotiation.
Strong network within Malaysia's retail and developer ecosystem.
Strong commercial acumen, including financial evaluation and deal structuring.
Experience working within a China-headquartered or cross-border environment is preferred.
Fluent in Mandarin.
