Manager, Electronic Solutions, Institutional Brokerage (Platform Engineering) role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the firm's electronic trading platforms. This includes managing client onboarding activities, coordinating FIX connectivity with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth daily operations (BAU), and performing user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system changes. The role serves as a critical bridge between clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless trading operations and a high‑quality client experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Onboarding & Setup
- Manage end‑to‑end onboarding process for new clients onto the trading platform.
- Coordinate account setup, system access, configuration, and entitlement processes.
- Ensure required documentation and technical information are collected, verified, and implemented.
2. FIX Connectivity Management
- Act as the primary liaison between institutional clients, internal IT teams, and platform vendors for FIX connectivity setup.
- Support FIX certification, message validation, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor connectivity stability and resolve protocol-level issues in a timely manner.
3. Trading Platform BAU Support
- Oversee daily operational activities related to the trading platform (Fidessa, Bloomberg, or equivalent).
- Monitor platform performance, order flow, and system availability.
- Investigate and resolve user-reported issues, escalating to vendors or internal teams where necessary.
- Ensure the platform meets service level expectations and operates smoothly during trading hours.
4. User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Plan, prepare, and conduct UAT for system enhancements, configuration updates, and new releases.
- Document test cases, expected outcomes, and results.
- Coordinate with vendors and project teams to validate fixes and ensure system readiness before deployment.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with trading desks, operations, compliance, and vendors to ensure meeting the platform requirements.
- Provide timely communication on system changes, incidents, enhancements, or planned downtime.
- Support internal teams with platform-related insights and technical expertise.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or higher
- Proficiency in troubleshooting connectivity or platform-related issues
- Strong understanding of electronic trading workflows and market connectivity will be a plus
- Hands-on experience with FIX messaging and certification processes will be a plus
- Good understanding of trading system operations (preferably equities or multi-asset) will be a plus
- Ability to work under time-sensitive conditions during market hours
- Strong communication skills for client and vendor engagement
