Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Assist in the implement the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERM), methodology, system and programs at SDP's business units /operational areas (as identified and assigned). This include obtaining buy in from relevant stakeholders and providing feedback for its continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk related Frameworks to support management of key material risk of the Group (emerging and current) at Enterprise, utilizing the principles as set out in the Group's ERM.
  • Assist in implementing the Group's Business Continuity Plan at Enterprise level.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

Assist Head, Enterprise Risk in managing operational risk (in line with the Group's ERM) across the Group, which include but not limited to:

A) Internally - Operations:

  • Support the review or enhancement to (where appropriate) Risk Management's roadmap, policy, framework, methodology and systems. This include the establishment or enhance risk standards and process that are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and mitigating risk incidences at Enterprise and Operational areas.

B) Externally Best Practice and Scan of Risk Environment:

  • Be aware of the current risk management best practices in the industry.
  • Perform necessary research on emerging risks and trends in the industry and advice Head, Enterprise Risk and/or Chief Risk, Integrity & Compliance Officer (CRICO), where necessary

C) Risk Identification:

  • Assist in the design and/or enhancement of the processes within Business Units/Operations to ensure risk are identified on a timely basis (tailor made where required for efficiency purpose).

D) Risk Updates:

  • Review and ensure risk registers are updated and signed off by respective process/risk champions on a quarterly basis (or more frequently where risk profile changes significantly) - ensuring risks are identified, reviewed and assessed adequately.
  • Provide quality challenge to the risk evaluated inherent and residual risk, impact and likelihood, and targeted risk. Work with operations to ensure results are practical and reflective of the risk faced.

E) Risk Monitoring:

  • Assist in the management of risk monitoring process for the Group (for Enterprise and assigned operational risk areas).
  • Perform and lead any other risk review or validation as required.

F) Risk Reporting:

  • Manage the set risk reporting timelines are compiled with by operational and functional teams.

G) Business Continuity Management (BCM):

  • Assist and, where required, lead the development and enhancement of the Group's Business Continuity Framework and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) at operational level.

H) Risk Administration/Operations (Department level):

  • Assist in the delivery of risk mandate and agreed KPIs as assigned.
  • Provide feedback and/or research assistance in the development of the annual risk plan (operational risk). Assist in the finalization of the risk annual plans post discussion with CRICO.

I) Other Function

  • Manage the implementation of GRM communication, tools and facilitates using appropriate ERM methodologies, tools and techniques (fit for Business/Operational Units).

Education/Professional Qualification

  • Possess at least a Professional Degree/Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma
  • Risk, Governance and Audit related education will be an added advantage.

Professional Experience

  • At least 1 years in current position (Assistant Manager), with relevant work experience. Property development /real estate/consulting experience will be an added advantage.
  • At least 5 7 years of overall work experience.
  • Driven, analytical, good attention to detail and ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence / ) and their application in risk management is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau or equivalent) is an added advantage.
