Job Responsibilities
Plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Leads architecture/engineering firms and company engineers in developing initial project design criteria, layouts, and schematic drawings for industrial construction projects. Develops criteria and performance specifications to meet unique factory/ research lab operating requirements and building safety codes. Leads engineers, consultants, and company procurement professionals to develop construction and facility acquisition bid documents. Engages with legal to originate construction contract agreements consistent with project scope, value, and company risk profile. Reviews and estimates design and project construction costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, start-up preparation, and other related costs. Inspects construction site and attends the contractor led progress meetings to monitory conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
