Responsibilities:
This position will be based at Dataran Maybank and Mercu Maybank.
Team Lead in mostly the financial reporting activities of MIBB, which include but not limited to the followings:-
- To perform month end close process and are completed within T+3 deadline.
- To prepare and report the monthly financial performance and financial position of MIBB Bank and Group to senior management.
- To prepare quarterly/ annual reports and paper for the audit committee of the board, board of directors and Bank Negara Malaysia on the financial performance including financial analysis of the Bank and Group.
- To prepare monthly schedules and analysis for other departments.
- To prepare yearly audited financial statement.
- To liaise with internal auditors, external auditors and regulators.
- To prepare schedules relating to tax.
Team Lead to ensure adherence to accounting best practices policies and procedures are being followed.
Team Lead or support the Head of Financial Reporting on any ad-hoc assignments or projects e.g. queries from Internal Auditor or senior management personnel.
Requirements:
- Accounting technical skills to ensure the reports are prepared in compliance with the prevailing accounting framework (Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards) and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills as the role requires effective communication with cross-functional team members and to senior management personnel
- Attention to detail, resourceful and strong project management skills to ensure timely and accurate reporting to the various stakeholders
