Job Purpose

To support the Group's transfer pricing governance and compliance by assisting in the preparation and review of documentation, providing advisory input, coordinating with stakeholders and external consultants, and contributing to the effective management of transfer‑pricing‑related audits, projects, and continuous process improvements at CIMB.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the Group's transfer pricing governance, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and CIMB's internal policies.
2. Review intercompany agreements, pricing models and templates to ensure adherence to transfer pricing requirements and identify tax issues requiring escalation/to be addressed.
3. Provide advisory to business units/business enablers on all matters that has transfer pricing implications.
4. Be responsible for ensuring that the Transfer Pricing documentation, Masterfile and CBCR filing requirements for the group are met on a timely and accurate manner, including any other compliance requirement which may be introduced by the tax authorities from time to time
5. Liaising with external tax consultants to ensure quality advisory and efficient delivery of compliance matters
6. Drive the implementation of any transfer pricing/tax related projects.
7. Manage tax audits/investigations and inquiries relating to transfer pricing and related-party transactions
8. Participate and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transfer pricing compliance processes for CIMB.

Key Dimension of Impact

The role supports transfer pricing governance and compliance across multiple countries and legal entities, overseeing significant volumes of related‑party transactions and intercompany agreements. It ensures accurate and timely completion of key deliverables such as Transfer Pricing Documentation, the Master File, and CbCR filings for the Group. The position also contributes to managing tax audit exposures, coordinating with external consultants and regulators, and driving transfer‑pricing‑related projects that impact group‑wide processes and risk management.

Education Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Statistics. Master's degree is an advantage.
• Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements
• CPA/ MICPA/ CPA/ ICAEW/ MIA

Relevant Work Experience

3–5 years of relevant transfer pricing experience (Big 4 or financial services preferred)

• Strong technical understanding of transfer pricing concepts/methodologies and transfer pricing related guidelines and regulations.
• Strong project management, cross-functional collaboration and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical, research and quantitative capabilities.
• Proactive, resilient and able to perform in a fast-paced and complex environment.
• Good knowledge of accounting is an advantage
