About Our Client

A leading Malaysian shipping and logistics group with a diversified regional presence.

Job Description

  • Lead the Group's Governance, Risk, Compliance and Legal functions.
  • Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee Board & Board Committee governance, reporting and disclosures.
  • Manage the enterprise risk management framework, risk registers and assessments.
  • Oversee ethics, integrity, ABC, conflict of interest and whistleblowing programmes.
  • Oversee legal matters, contracts and legal governance across the Group.
  • Provide legal and contractual guidance to business units and liaise with external counsel.
  • Manage outsourced internal audit and monitor audit findings.
  • Liaise with senior management, Board, regulators and external advisers.
  • Lead a team covering governance, legal, quality management and risk.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Manager, Governance, Risk & Compliance Should Have

  • Degree in Law, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Business, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in a listed company, legal, governance, compliance, risk or professional services environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and corporate governance.
  • Experience in enterprise risk management and internal controls.
  • Strong understanding of contract management and legal governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • CGI/ICSA, MIA, CIA, CRMA or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
