Job Description

At TNG Digital, part of TNG Digital Group, we build the tech behind TNG eWallet, one of Malaysia's most used apps for payments and everyday life.

Millions of people rely on us daily, not just to pay, but to manage money, access financial services, and get things done faster and simpler.

Behind it all is a team that likes to question how things are done, move quickly, and try new ideas. If you enjoy solving real problems and seeing your work used at scale, you will feel right at home here.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Manager, Growth Strategy with experience or strong interest in Youth / Gen Z/Alpha initiatives. This role will own youth‑focused growth strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, retention, and long‑term value through data‑driven insights and experimentation.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive acquisition, engagement and retention of younger demographics (i.e Genz/Alpha) through innovative marketing strategies, targeted campaigns, and referral programmes.
  • Analyse acquisition funnels to improve conversion efficiency and early‑lifecycle quality.
  • Lead structured strategic problem‑solving independently: diagnosis → hypothesis → analysis → recommendations, with a youth‑centric lens.
  • Shape and recommend segment‑level growth roadmaps aimed at improving DAU, engagement, retention, and, loyalty programs and value progression among younger users.
  • Ensure strategies align with brand values, parental trust considerations, and regulatory guidelines applicable to under‑18 users.

Data-Driven Growth Analysis

  • Conduct opportunity sizing, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and segmentation studies focused on youth and early‑lifecycle users.
  • Define and track key growth metrics, including DAU, MAU, activation rate, and retention.
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable growth recommendations for cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Build simple business cases to evaluate impact, cost, and ROI of growth initiatives.

Growth Execution, Experimentation & Performance Tracking

  • Drive execution of youth growth initiatives and campaigns in collaboration with product, marketing, operations, and creative teams to optimise onboarding and activation flows, enhancing youth user experience and conversion rates.
  • Oversee experiments such as running A/B test, gamified features, habit‑forming mechanics, limited‑time initiatives, or content‑driven engagement formats.
  • Track performance post‑launch, extract learnings, and iterate strategies based on measurable outcomes.
  • Balance engagement and growth impact with responsible incentive design, avoiding over‑reliance on discounts.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a growth partner to product, marketing, analytics, and brand teams on youth and Gen Z initiatives.
  • Align teams on objectives, timelines, resources, and success metrics, ensuring clarity in ownership and execution.
  • Communicate progress, insights, and learnings to leadership in a clear, structured manner.
  • Navigate trade‑offs between growth ambition, user experience, and long‑term sustainability.

Team Support & Capability Building

  • Mentor and guide senior associates or junior team members on structured thinking, analysis, and youth‑focused growth best practices.
  • Review workstreams, analyses, and recommendations to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to building internal playbooks and frameworks for youth growth and engagement strategies.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 4–6 years of experience in growth, strategy, consulting, analytics, or related roles.
  • Hands‑on experience working on youth / Gen Z initiatives, products, or campaigns (e.g. youth engagement, education, gaming, lifestyle, fintech for youth) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in tech, fintech, e‑commerce, or digital product environments is highly advantageous.
  • Strong structured problem‑solving and analytical storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to turn data insights into actionable, youth‑relevant growth strategies.
