The Role
As a Manager II, Applications with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
Project and User Support
- Provide P6 (Cloud and On-Premises) system functional and technical support to projects and users.
- Proactively seek out ways to help projects and users maximize efficiency using P6.
- Shadow New Project Teams and ensure project is being correctly and P6 is used effectively.
- Review project system health checks, lessons learned and provide feedback to the P6 Team on user experience and process enhancements required.
- Restore P6 dump in Oracle/SQL database.
- Knowledge of web services and their usage for interface or report.
- Support maintenance of P6 by gathering requirements, writing specifications, and managing development, User Acceptance Testing and Implementation of the changes.
- Set up a new on-premises instance of P6 using Oracle/SQL database.
Project Implementation
- Assist projects where required with the set up and configuration of projects in P6.
- Assist in interface development with web services.
Training
- Develop and maintain training documentation.
- Develop and maintain User Guides and Best Practices Guides.
- Develop additional documentation as required.
P6 Knowledge and Continuous Improvement
- Develop roadmap for the tools in sync to the business requirements.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of P6 in all modules (Risk Analysis (PRA), Team Members and P6 Analysis) and associated work processes.
- Maintain and support system integrations with external systems.
- Maintain a high level of understanding of functional work processes and procedures, overall EPC business, and project execution.
- Investigate ways to improve productivity, efficiency, or information availability and visibility for projects using P6.
- Evaluate new system's functionality and determine if fits for purpose.
- Communicate regularly with location P6 support teams regarding changes in P6 that may impact projects and users, and to understand the status of P6 project implementation and usage effectiveness.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
Job Specific Knowledge
- 15+ years experience with P6 usage Functional and Technical, support, administration, Technical and configuration.
- Familiar with Planning systems tools PRA, Acumen fuse, Netpoint and utilization of automation or AI in these tools.
- Familiar with Service Now or other ticketing systems.
- Performed Migration of Oracle/SQL database and know usage of web services.
- Strong overall understanding of project requirements, deliverables and workflows.
- Understanding of training and development concepts.
- Ability to implement, test and troubleshoot systems.
- Ability to effectively deliver presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
Other Requirements
- Experience of working in cross cultural environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Oracle and SQL database.
- Able to think analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
People Skills
- Able to actively initiate inter-discipline / department dialogue.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills.
- Able to transfer and capture location knowledge and mentor/coach others within the Location to engage in knowledge sharing and system activities.
