POSITION SUMMARY
The Investment & Financial Analyst will support the Chief Investment & Property Officer (CIPO) in evaluating, monitoring, and managing investment opportunities across various asset classes. The role involves conducting financial analysis, investment research, business performance reviews, market intelligence gathering, and supporting property and corporate finance initiatives to facilitate informed decision-making and value creation for the Group.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct research, analysis, and evaluation of investment opportunities across various asset classes, both locally and internationally.
- Perform financial modelling, valuation, feasibility studies, and investment analysis to support investment and business decisions.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of the Group's investment portfolio and recommend strategies to optimise returns.
- Prepare investment reports, presentations, dashboards, and performance reviews for Management and relevant committees.
- Attend investment briefings, market reviews, and engagements with fund managers, investment banks, research houses, and other industry stakeholders.
- Monitor economic, financial, and market developments, and identify emerging risks, opportunities, and events that may impact the Group's investments and businesses.
- Assist in conducting market research, industry analysis, and due diligence on new business ventures, strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and investment opportunities.
- Analyse and review the financial performance of existing business units, projects, and investments within the Group.
- Coordinate and support property-related projects, including development initiatives, leasing activities, and engagement with consultants and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage financing arrangements, including liaising with banks, financial institutions, and funding agencies.
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic investment, business, and property initiatives to ensure timely implementation and achievement of objectives.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial, investment, and business analysis reports as required by Management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Investment Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, financial planning, equity research, asset management, investment banking, or a similar role.
- Experience within a public-listed company, financial institution, investment company, private equity, or corporate advisory environment would be preferred.

- Sound understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, corporate finance, and economic trends.
- Excellent research, report writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data and analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing AI tools and digital productivity solutions would be an added advantage.
