You will be responsible for leading Data Analytics–Driven IT Audit activities across the AZAP region.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Identify business/IT risks through analysis of large volumes of data as part of risk-based planning and audit execution.
- Participate in audit assignments across the region, including data preparation, cleansing, and interpretation to identify trends, anomalies, and key insights.
- Execute and enhance audit projects through digitalisation, data analytics, and AI-driven approaches.
- Lead the development of data analytics maturity across the region by identifying use cases, refining methodologies, and promoting adoption of emerging technologies.
- Drive and promote a data analytics and AI culture within the regional audit team, ensuring effective use of analytics in audit execution.
- Define continuous monitoring scenarios, including red flags, alert mechanisms, and automated control testing to mitigate operational risks.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all hierarchy levels.
- Act as the key interface between Group, Region, and OEs on data analytics and AI topics.
- Lead the end-to-end audit lifecycle, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up.
- Lead closing meetings with auditees and senior management, and finalise audit reports with management feedback.
- Lead and coach audit teams during engagements and regional initiatives.
- Drive regional harmonisation initiatives, including standardisation and adoption of best practices.
- Support CAEs as a subject matter expert on audit, data analytics, and AI topics.
Important To Your Success
- A bachelor's degree; in a business discipline such as Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, accounting, finance, management or in Actuarial Science.
- Relevant certifications, for example, CIA, CISA, or CISSP would be an added advantage. Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis and IT internal audit.
- 5-10 years of experience in the financial institution sector (preferably insurance) internal/external audit experience and experience in data analytics preferred, relevant industry knowledge will also be considered.
- Strong understanding and application of data analytics in financial services, audit, and/or risk management.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large and complex datasets.
- Proficient in programming and data analytics tools, e.g. SAS, SQL, and advance proficiency in tools and scripting such as CaseWare IDEA and Python.
- Proficient in visualisation tools (e.g. Excel, IDEA, Power BI), with interest in developing AI and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive working style. Ability to work effectively in a global environment with diverse stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken), fluency in Mandarin, Bahasa, or Thai will be an added advantage.
- Solid IT knowledge (e.g. IT governance, information security, systems, project management).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, effective communication with the ability to convey issues tactfully
- High integrity and ability to act as a trusted business partner
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot is an added advantage.
