Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for managing Sime Darby Property Group's media effectiveness discipline by ensuring paid, owned and earned media are planned as one integrated media plan.
  • The main purpose of this role is to ensure every campaign is planned based on the clear role of paid, owned and earned media, with campaign measurement and actual performance tracked against the agreed plan.
  • This role will work closely with Media Agency, Creative Agency, Digital Agency, Comms team, Township, Leisure and Mall teams to manage integrated media planning, actual vs plan tracking, media budget utilisation and campaign performance reporting.

Key Job Functions:

1. Language of Success & Measurement Planning

Lead the development of the Language of Success for SDP campaigns by defining campaign objectives, planned outcomes, media roles and success measures before media deployment.

2. Campaign Audience Insight & Planning

Lead the development of campaign audience insights and advise Creative Agency and Digital Agency during campaign planning, so the media plan, content direction and channel role are guided by audience behaviour and campaign objectives.

3. Integrated Paid, Owned & Earned Media Planning

Manage the Group paid, owned and earned media planning framework to ensure every channel has a clear role and campaigns are planned as one integrated media system, not in silos.

4. Actual vs Plan Tracking

Manage the tracking of campaign performance against planned targets, including planned media outcomes, actual delivery, performance gaps and key learnings.

5. Campaign Media Performance Review

Lead post-campaign media performance reviews to assess whether media deployment delivered against the agreed Language of Success, and recommend what should be continued, improved or stopped.

6. Group Media Reporting Discipline

Manage consistent media reporting across SDP campaigns to ensure campaign performance, media learnings and actual vs plan updates are properly captured for management review.

7. Media Agency Performance Management

Manage the Media Agency's planning, buying, reporting and optimisation performance to ensure media recommendations, campaign delivery and post-campaign reviews are aligned with SDP's campaign objectives.

8. Media Budget Utilisation Tracking

Manage and track campaign media budgets, including planned spend, committed spend, actual spend, budget utilisation and efficiency gains secured through media planning and agency negotiation.

KPI 2026

1. Paid, Owned & Earned Media Planning

  • Establish POE media planning framework for Group SDP campaigns.
  • Establish POE media schedule to be implement by all Group SDP Media schedule.

2. Actual vs Plan LOS Tracking

  • Implement actual vs plan tracking LOS for key campaigns.
  • Provide clear post-campaign reporting on planned outcome, actual delivery, gap and learning.

3. Media Budget Utilisation

  • Maintain proper tracking of planned spend, committed spend, actual spend and budget utilisation.
  • Establish a dashboard to monitor and tracking the budget utilisation by campaign.

4. Management Reporting

  • Provide weekly/monthly structured media performance updates for key campaigns, including Language of Success- actual vs plan, learnings and recommendation.
