Position Objective
This role is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and active management of Fund‑of‑Funds (FoF) portfolios. As the primary architect of the firm's external manager platform, the role ensures optimal risk‑adjusted returns through robust portfolio construction, asset allocation, and manager selection. A key focus is enhancing the commercial viability of the portfolios and actively driving growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) through strong performance and a compelling value proposition.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Portfolio Management & Asset Allocation
- Construct and manage Fund-of-Funds portfolios across diverse risk-return profiles.
- Drive and implement Strategic and Tactical Asset Allocation (SAA/TAA) frameworks to navigate evolving market cycles.
- Continuously monitor portfolio risk-return characteristics to ensure alignment with client mandates and internal investment guidelines.
- Conduct detailed look-through analyses to understand underlying exposures, risks, and concentrations.
2. Manager Selection & Due Diligence
- Lead the full Investment Due Diligence (IDD) process for internal and external managers across global and regional markets.
- Maintain deep and up-to-date insight into the global fund landscape, including emerging trends and structural shifts.
- Conduct quantitative screening (performance attribution, style drift, risk-adjusted metrics) and qualitative evaluations (investment process, philosophy, team stability).
3. Investment Universe Expansion & AUM Growth
- Support business development and sales teams by providing expertise and high-quality investment materials to drive fund flows and grow AUM.
- Spearhead the expansion of asset classes—covering alternative investments, private markets, and thematic exposures—to enhance portfolio diversification and value.
4. Reporting & Operational Enhancement
- Oversee the end-to-end execution and settlement of Fund-of-Funds trades, ensuring accuracy and minimizing operational risk.
- Identify and implement improvements to portfolio tracking, reporting, and execution efficiency.
- Prepare and present comprehensive investment reports, including manager selection rationale and portfolio positioning insights, to the Portfolio Solutions team.
Job Requirements:
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
Professional Credentials
- CFA Charter holder or CFA Level III candidate (completed Level II) is a strong advantage.
- CMSRL license preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- High proficiency with institutional investment tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct) for performance attribution and peer analysis.
