Job Description

OVERVIEW

  • Lead and manage procurement operations and strategic sourcing activities to achieve business, production, and cost objectives.
  • Conduct spend analysis and develop annual sourcing plans, budgets, and procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor and forecast stock requirements to maintain uninterrupted production and operational continuity.
  • Drive strategic sourcing, alternate sourcing, and price negotiations to meet cost and commercial targets.
  • Prepare, issue, evaluate, and approve tender documents and submissions including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Review purchasing contracts and agreements in collaboration with legal advisors.
  • Lead vendor performance management by defining metrics, conducting reviews, and driving continuous improvement actions.
  • Establish and govern procurement systems, procedures, and ERP records to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Develop procurement team capability through leadership, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, influence key decisions, and resolve escalated procurement issues.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field from a recognised institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain functions, including strategic sourcing and operational procurement, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Apply strategic sourcing methodologies including spend analysis, category planning, alternate sourcing, and procurement strategy ownership.
