We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager Purchasing to lead and manage the purchasing operations for Paradigm Mall JB. The successful candidate will oversee procurement processes, supplier management, tender coordination and cost optimization to support efficient mall operations.
Job Descriptions:
- Manage the overall Purchasing Department operations and ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Oversee purchasing activities including tender/RQ handling, cost estimation, and purchase order preparation.
- Organize and attend tender interviews, track evaluation progress, and ensure timely award of contracts.
- Manage sourcing activities, request for quotations, and supplier selection to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth execution of purchasing activities.
- Monitor and control procurement activities to ensure compliance with the Company's purchasing policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Propose and implement cost reduction strategies and supplier evaluation programs.
- Undertake additional assignments as required by Management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 58 years of relevant working experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a managerial role.
- Experience in shopping mall, property management, or hotel industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese will be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Position is based in Paradigm Mall JB.
