Job Summary
The Manager of Capital Market Products is responsible for the end-to-end execution and operational management of structured products, fixed income, and equity offerings. This role supports the Team Lead in driving fee income and AUM growth by ensuring product quality, seamless onboarding, and effective sales enablement across the Malaysia and Singapore markets.
Key Responsibilities
Product Execution & Lifecycle Management
Onboarding & Due Diligence: Execute the rigorous due diligence process for new structured products and fixed income instruments, ensuring all offerings meet internal quality and compliance standards.
Product Maintenance: Manage the ongoing lifecycle of products, from initial launch to maturity or exit, ensuring all documentation and governance protocols are met.
Market Analysis: Perform regular market intelligence gathering to identify emerging trends and competitive threats, providing actionable insights to the Team Lead.
Sales Enablement & Commercialization
Frontline Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for Investment Counsellors and frontline staff, providing technical product knowledge and suitability guidance.
Training Delivery: Coordinate and deliver training programs to ensure the sales force is equipped to confidently advise clients on capital market products.
Marketing Collaboration: Assist in developing data-driven marketing materials and sales tools designed to boost product penetration and fee revenue.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Regulatory Adherence: Monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure 100% adherence to legal, compliance, and risk management requirements.
Policy Implementation: Support the implementation of the structured products governance framework and ensure all activities align with the bank's risk appetite.
Escalation: Identify and escalate operational or compliance risks to the Team Lead and direct manager promptly.
Operational Excellence & Systems
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the sales or operational workflow and suggest automation or efficiency enhancements to the Business Management team.
System Support: Act as a functional lead for system enhancements, providing user requirements to improve the technological infrastructure for product management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of regional fee income and AUM targets.
Successful and timely onboarding of new products.
Zero high-risk audit or compliance findings within the product lifecycle.
High satisfaction ratings from frontline staff regarding product training and support.
Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a significant plus.
5-7 years of relevant experience in Wealth Management or Investment fields, specifically focused on capital market products (Structured Investment, Fixed Income, Equity).
High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) for financial modeling and presentations.
Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Gemini) to enhance research and productivity.
Strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a matrix reporting structure.
