Overview
The Business Continuity Management Manager role is an opportunity to lead and shape the Bank's resilience strategy. The successful candidate will be the driving force behind a robust business continuity framework, ensuring the Bank is resilient and prepared for anything. This role goes beyond compliance, it is about embedding a culture of preparedness and safeguarding the future of the Bank. The successful candidate will report to the AGM, Business Continuity Management & Projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the strategic direction of the Bank's enterprise business continuity framework, ensuring it is robust, well-documented, and fully compliant with regulatory standards.
- Serve as a critical 2nd line of defense, providing expert governance and advisory to Business Units in strengthening their resilience.
- Lead coordination for all bank-wide BCM activities, as the central point for continuity and operations across our domestic and regional branches and subsidiaries.
- Secretariat of the Business Continuity Operation Committee and Business Continuity Management Committee, when activated, including as a key liaison during crisis events, coordinating recovery and resumption efforts across the Bank to ensure swift and effective response.
- Provide independent analysis and advise Senior Management on the effectiveness of our Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs).
- Champion a culture of preparedness through engaging training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns for teams at every level.
Jobholder Requirement:
Malaysian citizen.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in relevant fields such as Banking, Finance or Information Technology.
- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar international credential is a plus.
- 8 years and above experience, with a strong background in the 1st or 2nd line role within the banking industry and large organisations.
