We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager, Sales & Business Development to lead the company's sales growth and market expansion initiatives. This role is responsible for driving revenue generation, developing strategic business opportunities, strengthening market presence, and building effective channels to promote the company's products and services. The ideal candidate will play a key role in securing new projects, managing key client relationships, and contributing to the company's overall commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and lead new business opportunities within the construction, precast, and related industries to achieve sales and growth targets.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen strategic relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, suppliers, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies, including online and offline channels, to enhance brand visibility and promote the company's products and services.
- Lead product presentations, client meetings, and business pitches to prospective customers; oversee the preparation of proposals, tenders, and quotations.
- Drive negotiations and close deals successfully to secure new jobs/projects while ensuring profitability and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (operations, technical, finance, and project teams) to ensure smooth project handover and execution after successful sales closure.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine business strategies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present regular sales performance reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to Management.
- Lead, coach, and provide guidance to junior sales/business development team members where applicable.
- Support Management in formulating commercial strategies, annual sales targets, and business expansion plans.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of sales and business development experience, preferably within the construction, infrastructure, precast concrete, building materials, or related industries.
- Proven track record in securing projects, developing business pipelines, and achieving sales targets.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
- Strong network and established market connections within the construction industry will be a significant advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into tangible business results.
- Independent, self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Willing to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and business development activities.
