Overview

The Manager is to support the Self-Service Terminal (SST) functions within the Bank by overseeing daily General Ledger (GL) and settlement activities. The primary objective is to manage end-to-end interbank settlements for SAN and MyDebit, handle GL reconciliation for outsourced SSTs, and provide recommendations to resolve production issues to ensure optimal financial accuracy and operational performance

The successful candidate will report to the Unit Head of SST GL & Operations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Functional (job responsibilities)

  • Manage daily settlements for SAN and MyDebit, including end-to-end GL reconciliation for interbank settlements.

  • Monitor daily automated system reconciliation reports for SAN and highlight any discrepancies to EBS IT.

  • Follow up and communicate with internal IT and PayNet regarding unsuccessful ATM transaction cases.

  • Monitor ATM reconciliation at branches and provide support to resolve any unreconciled discrepancies.

  • Process monthly invoices from ATM outsourcing service providers and monitor cost charge-outs.

  • Prepare and review quarterly GL board policy confirmations to ensure regulatory adherence.

  • Perform and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems or products introduced by PayNet or Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

  • Provide recommendations and solutions to resolve GL issues in production and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management

Jobholder Requirements

  • Malaysian citizen.

Education/Qualification

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree or any professional qualifications in Accounting or Finance.

  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or MICPA are preferred.

Experience/Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the Accounting or Finance field.

  • Experience in project management is considered an advantage.

  • Good to advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Strong Analytical Thinking, concern for order, quality, and accuracy, and the ability to build relationships and remain flexible.

  • Strong ability to communicate with internal stakeholders (IT, branches) and external entities like PayNet.
