Job Description

Job Purpose

  • To process and evaluate margin (SMF and PF) and non margin applications.
  • To evaluate and assign collateral capping (i.e shares, wealth, property) for SMF /PF margin accounts.
  • Providing credit support to all Share Trading Centres (STC) and Account Relationship Managers

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage, guide and train the support team members in order to achieve the turn around time (TAT) and policy guidelines are met.
  • Ensure that SMF/PF new application(s) and credit renewal submitted meet the Bank&aposs risk acceptance criteria, SMF and PF credit policy, approving matrix, AMLA framework and BNM guidelines requirement.
  • To analyze SMF/PF application(s) and subsequently prepare credit write up, recommend for loan approval.
  • To perform review and renew all SMF/PF margin accounts.
  • To continuously work on streamlining work processes to improve on TAT.
  • Handling CCRIS reporting enquiries - lodge new application and update application status.
  • Handling CTOS checks.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for submission to the management.
  • Attend queries/request and provide guidance to STC, ARM and Retail Broking Investment Lending on all matters related to SMF/PF.
  • To conduct property valuation for property pledged as collateral.

Experience/Knowledge Requirements

Skill

  • Good time and good people management
  • Good communication and intepersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to details
  • Computer literate eg. Ms Office, Excel, Power Point

Knowledge

  • Tertiary education qualification
  • AICB Certificate in Credit holder - is an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of equity markets and margin financing mechanics
  • Good knowledge of credit applications, processing and evaluation
  • Experience and knowledge in stock banking is an advantage.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in credit processing on retail (secured and unsecured products) or non-retail portfolio.
